Gumtree Catering started out in Vernon, BC as a small scale bakery back in 2008. Well-known for the ‘best chocolate ginger cookies,’ Gumtree quickly grew into an esteemed catering company in the Okanagan area.
From the very beginning, we’ve been known for our local Okanagan ingredients and ‘from-scratch’ recipes. Fresh, delicious, and hand-crafted food is at the heart of all we do.
In 2020, Sarah took sole ownership of Gumtree, as her business partner moved onto new business ventures. With the shift in ownership, the same amazing flavours and first-class service continue to be served here at Gumtree.
Our distinctive service, taste, and style have led to numerous recognitions in some of the top magazine publications over the years, including Junebug Weddings, Rocky Mountain Bride, WeddingWire Canada, and Okanagan Life.

With an educational background from the United Kingdom in food services, hospitality, and event management she helped develop Gumtree Catering to become a leading and award-winning caterer in the Okanagan Valley. Sarah never turns down the challenge to bring a fresh and innovative experience to your gathering.
Sarah is a caring wife and mother to three children. She is a very active community member having been a Rotarian for over 21 years and continuing to spend her free time volunteering on many local boards.

Placed my ordered on-line. Everything was ready, on time and easy pick up. 5 stars for the Vegan crispy lemon, feta, chickpeas & orzo meal. Spiced perfect and the meal was delicious. Large portion so enjoyed leftovers the next day. Will definitely order this again. Thank you Gumtree!
If you’re a busy person and looking for a healthy, delicious meal Gumtree is the perfect solution! The food is always fresh and delicious. I recently had their carps chicken with truffle potato gratin (Valentines-to-go menu) so flavourful and delicious! The owner is so friendly and truly cares about her clients.
